Veja o resumo dos trabalhos apresentados

Aconteceu entre os dias 1 e 4 de Abril de 2004, em Kaohsiung, Taiwan, o 7º Congresso da Sociedade Internacional de Terapia de Ondas de Choque Extra Corpórea aplicada ao Sistema Musculoesquelético com a presença de representantes da Áustria, Alemanha, Itália, Suíça, China, Chile, Taiwan, EUA e Brasil.
Foram 3 dias de apresentações de trabalhos científicos, com novidades nas áreas de aplicação da terapia, discussões de temas , e troca de experiências dos principais serviços que trabalham desenvolvendo a terapia de ondas de choque (TOC) no mundo.

Neste ano, dois ortopedistas brasileiros, membros da SBTOC e da ISMST estiveram presentes no evento: Dr. Paulo Rockett , de Porto Alegre e Dra. Ana Cláudia Souza, do Rio de Janeiro; apresentando 2 trabalhos : “Tratamento de Patologias dos Tecidos Moles com a Terapia de Ondas de Choque - Revisão de Casos ”e“ Tratamento da Pseudoartrose do escafóide e do 5º Metatarso utilizando a Terapia de Ondas de Choque – apresentação de casos”.


Mais uma vez o Congresso da ISMST reafirmou o sucesso e o desenvolvimento da terapia de ondas de choque por todos os continentes, trazendo novidades e esperanças através de estudos que ampliam as indicações dentro das patologias ortopédicas.



E, é com enorme satisfação que já podemos confirmar a realização do 8º Congresso da ISMST em 2005 na cidade de Viena e do 9º Congresso da ISMST em 2006 na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, demonstrando o reconhecimento do desenvolvimento da terapia de ondas de choque em nosso país.
